Alby Lite - A Lightning Address Server for NWC Wallets

Through the power of Nostr Wallet Connect it becomes easy to seamlessly connect your self-custodial wallet such as Alby Hub to other applications. One such application is a lightning address, which allows you to receive multiple payments to your wallet via a human-readable address such as hello@getalby.com.

Why we built Alby Lite

Consider you run a business that sells multiple products. Each product can have its own lightning address, that you could display as a QR code that customers can easily scan and pay.

Or perhaps you have an app and want to offer Lightning addresses to your users. Ideally, these addresses should be compatible with Nostr apps, enabling users to receive zaps.

What is Alby Lite

Alby Lite is an open-source lightning address server built by Alby which you can run to generate one or many lightning addresses for your wallet on your own domain.

All you need is a single API call to generate a brand new lightning address with built-in Nostr NIP-05 identity verification and support for receiving Nostr Zaps.

Alby Lite combined with Alby Hub's sub-wallets is a powerful way to keep track of what payments are received by which lightning address, allowing for simple accounting and analytics.

Try it!

As a developer, check out Alby Lite to create lightning addresses with Nostr zapping capabilities in a quick and easy way. Deploy it and share your feedback.

For less technical users, don't forget you can always create multiple free Alby Accounts. Each Alby Account comes with its own lightning address connected to your self-custodial wallet or sub-wallet.
